Join the Team

As a member of the Family Development Lab, you will learn about couples and families, and how family relationships impact health and development across the lifespan--from early childhood to adulthood.

You will also receive mentorship regarding various career paths obtainable with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. If you choose to pursue graduate education in psychology, we will help you navigate the application process for graduate school from start to finish (e.g., determining where to apply, preparing application materials, planning for interviews).

Depending on the stages of ongoing projects in the lab, and your unique qualifications, you may gain any of the following research experiences:

  • Participant recruitment and retention
  • Online data collection
  • Clinical interviewing
  • Behavioral observations and coding
  • Data management and analysis
  • Manuscript preparation
  • Presentation of research results at local or national conferences
