Naomi (she/her) is an undergraduate student at UNL majoring in Psychology and Film Studies. She is interested in the risk factors and contributors to intimate partner violence, such as the influence of culture, gender based discrimination, and media. Currently, she is working on a thesis focused on examining the relationships between smartphone usage, self-objectification, and intimate partner violence, as well as self-compassion’s potential for intervention in these relationships. She is involved with the UNL Honors Program and the UCARE Program, and she plans to pursue a PhD in Psychology after graduation. In her free time, Naomi enjoys watching fun movies, going for walks, and spending time with friends and family.
